What a memorable experience!! Luckily could visit here right after they got Michelin three stars. Absolutely one of the best restaurants in Japan. Highlight was their signature, turnip dish looks simple but it once you take a bite, just wow, sweetness, umami, spicy will excite you. In addition to great taste, words cannot describe their Omotenashi hospitality spirit!

Best restaurant in Tokyo. Love the food, wine's and the staff. Simply incredible. Amazing soundtrack too to eat too.

The approach to L’Effervescence was tranquil - their location in a quiet neighbourhood, an unmarked building with an inconspicuous signage, entering through a framed doorway with a view of old trunks and moss then into a comfortably lit dining area, with a outside view of a beautiful garden and light background music. So the ambience was set, for a peaceful 3-hour intermission from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. Meal began with a refreshing welcome sake-wine blend and bread with interesting tofu spread. Next a 'fast-food packed apple-pie #32' which Chef sent the message of the day - in the speedy world, take time to appreciate the works of artisans which require passion, efforts and time to deliver their craft, be it product or produce. So there's no rushing perfection. All the seasonal fresh produce were from organic farms around Japan and if I recalled correctly, even the drinking water served was from a sake-brewery in Akita. The highlight which I enjoyed most, was a simple-looking turnip which was slow-cooked for 4 hours, yet still retaining its firmness and juiciness! To better the meal experience, try their sake-pairing, which will be properly taken care by Aoshima-san, who constantly tries and tastes sakes to complement their dishes. Attentive service, and waiters always checked if required more bread while waiting for next dishes and water always refilled. A place to return to if able to get a reservation when in Tokyo. This area has two other wonderful places to explore (walking distance) after lunch or before dinner - Nezu Museum and SunnyHills Minami Aoyama.
