Stock Bar Toronto

We were at Stock Bar this past Sunday and truly we have nothing but good things to say. We arrived at our reservation time and were seated immediately. No waiting around - which is nice as sometimes even when you have a reservation you still have to wait for your table. So we had very little interaction with the hostess but she was pleasant enough. We were a bit nervous as we had read some of the reviews that the service was lacking so we had braced ourselves for a subpar experience and we were just hoping the food would outshine any negative experiences. However this was NOT our experience at all. We had EXCEPTIONAL service from our server Jessica. If the management team at Stock read these reviews, Jessica was amazing. She was attentive, quick and very friendly. It was just my husband and I and we were seated between 2 parties of 6+ people that she was also waiting on and she was extremely on the ball. Reviews and ratings are obviously subjective to your own experiences and I think restaurants should aim to have some level of consistency amongst their staff so I do hope there are more servers like Jessica at Stock because she really did make the experience enjoyable. As for the food we order the: - Shrimp and Lobster Roll (4/5 the bread was perfectly soft and toasted, the lobster tasted fresh) - Pancakes (5/5 the pancakes were THE highlight for me, they were so soft and fluffy and served warmed - they were great) - Stock Burger (4.5/5 the meat was unreal - one of the best burgers at a restaurant we ever had, knock .5 because it doesn’t come with a side) - Truffle Fries (4/5 they were standard fries, really tasty with the truffle and Parmesan on top and the highlight was the truffle Mayo, I did find them a bit expense at $22) - Brownie (5/5, soft and warm inside, not to sweet which was perfect with the sweet ice cream)

The pasta was good, lots of seafood. I love the sorbet, The chocolate was very rich and the mango was delicious. The interior is gorgeous, lots of details from tile flooring to ceiling to wine display.

Took the family for lunch on the weekend, we made reservations which was a good idea. Service was excellent, food just as good and hanging out downstairs at the mercato while we drank espressos and ate dessert made for a fun experience overall.
