The dining room runs smart and elegant, but the architecture is the real draw. While its neighbours on the main island lean into historical grandeur, Aira pushes the building out over the sea. The modern, international seafood menu makes the most of its isolation, forcing a focus on the plate that you rarely find in the busier zones near the Vasa Museum. It is a twenty-five-minute walk from the city’s major landmarks, and that distance is exactly what you pay for; you come here to eat in total silence, separated from the tourist crush by a stretch of Baltic water.
