There are certain venues and events on Ibiza that seem purpose-built to entrap those with more money than taste and sense, designed, if you will, as though to catch the eye of an excited but naive magpie and convince them that the crumpled piece of tin foil is the next rarest of metals and to be coveted beyond all else... For me, Atzaro has - historically - long fallen into this category. To the degree that I've actively avoided it and had a hard time - indeed, may not have succeeded - in hiding the rolling of my eyes when I've been invited and typically responded with the half-truth of "Lovely idea but sorry, spinning too many plates at the moment. Have a great time" as I've declined and run in the opposite direction. Fast. Until this week. A friend in crisis. Lunch at Atzaro booked. No escaping this one. I hoped no one I knew would spot my car in the carpark... Lunch - starters, mains, dessert, accompanied by wine, finished off with a (couple of) liquor coffees. My mindset started to change as soon as my eyes fell on the menu. Decent prices. Would the quality be up to scratch though? By and large, yes. I elected - after a starter of (shared) Iberic Ham - for the Burger. Very good although the oil for the (hand-cut) chips definitely needed changing! Good wine - with a menu that allowed for all budgets. We tried a local Rosè, not for the respectable price but a genuine love of the island, support for local producers and the silent hope that it wasn't going to be a rip-off. It wasn't. It was superb for its price point (Can Basso, for anyone interested) For dessert, we erred to the excellent range of Licor Coffees, although I did cast my eye appreciably over the Dessert Wine options too. One thing that would be poor form to criticise Atzaro for is the setting. It's excellent, and the well-manicured, clean and traditional architecture and novelties are, as always, beyond reproach. So, then, just the service ... To my genuine surprise, relief and delight the staff were friendly, efficient, warm and welcoming. There was none of that "Don't you know where I work?" misplaced and foolish demi-god arrogance too often found at other high-end establishments. Indeed, we were so impressed that on leaving I asked for the names of our two primary servers - Silvina and Alexandro - well-done guys - you contributed massively to our lovely day, thank you! So, for the first time in a decade, I am surprised to find myself - and indeed my companion concurred - looking forward to returning to Atzaro, and in the interim it is a pleasure to take some time out of my day, to write this and encourage you to enjoy a good lunch, in a beautiful setting, at reasonable prices, with superb service at Atzaro. Bon profit!

Amazing experience, luxury spa experience 10/10!! We made reservations 3-weeks in advance for a group of 8-ladies and they were able to accommodate the ladies who wanted the massage package, which was 6 and the rest of the day and grounds is amazingly peaceful and tranquil. Great for a chill day, would definitely return!!
