Amazing experience. Service was perfect, food was amazing. The new vegan menu is an explosion of flavors prepared in the most fun interactive and unique ways. EMP is really pushing the envelope of the future of fine dinning and I am proud of their new journey. Wine pairing is a must as well. Each wine is described perfectly and such an essential part of the experience. Worth the expense!!

EMP is a 3 Michelin Star plant-based restaurant in New York and also ranked #1 in The Worlds 50 Best Restaurants. ⁣ ⁣ This was my favourite spot in NYC and I beg you to pay them a visit. Is a vegan menu worth $335USD? Absolutely. EMP elevates simple ingredients to another dimension. I can guarantee that your perspective on vegan food will change after this experience. ⁣ ⁣ I also got the chance to tour their massive kitchen and was gifted a large tin of their Eleven Madison Home oats!⁣ Huge shoutout to Tyler for making my experience at EMP so memorable! ⁣ Below are some memorable dishes of the night. ⁣ ---⁣ 🥬𝐁𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐚𝐯𝐚 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬⁣ (𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘭)⁣ The fava beans are nutty and slightly sweet with a soft and buttery texture.⁣ ⁣ 🥬𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐬 (𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘯𝘴, 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘴𝘰)⁣ One of my favourites of the night! The shiso was fried and the sesame flavour was very welcoming to those who don't like this particular leaf. This is what I imagine potato chips to be like for rich people LOL.⁣ ⁣ 🥬𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐓𝐨𝐟𝐮⁣ (𝘈𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘬𝘦, 𝘈𝘳𝘶𝘨𝘶𝘭𝘢, 𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘎𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘪𝘤⁣)⁣ ⁣The tofu is sourced from the oldest tofu house in NYC and was honestly the best I've ever had! This dish was to resemble that of a freshly made buratta. The tofu was extremely soft and the roasted artichoke sauce resembles the flavour of tomato.⁣ ⁣ 🥬𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐬⁣ (𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘚𝘦𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘯, 𝘚𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘤𝘩, 𝘚𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘖𝘯𝘪𝘰𝘯⁣)⁣ ⁣The texture is similar to Zhai 齋. Strong umami flavours from the spiced morel broth. ⁣ ⁣ 🥬𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝗪𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐬⁣ (𝘗𝘰𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘰, 𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘈𝘭𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘥, 𝘎𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳⁣)⁣ Sourced from Provence, the grilled white asparagus is smoked tableside in a chest designed by Rashid Johnson. The smoke evolves the vegetable's sweet and delicate flavours into something meatier and almost steak-like. This was one hell of a dish.⁣

This modern and elegant dining room displays the virtues of symmetry, with not so much as a single chair pushed out of its proper place. Everything is custom made, from the staff’s sharp suits to the handblown water vases. It's all evidence of Chef Daniel Humm’s masterful precision that extends through the cuisine as it artfully unfolds before each guest. The kitchen has a signature way with delicate presentations; and the menu beams with pristine ingredients that are handled with impressive creativity. Courses are so well conceived that they often seem as continuations of the same dish; specialties tend to reflect a flair for the dramatic that suit this luxurious room. The pastry team further enhances your dining experience by making sure that every meal ends on a high note. Cocktails are a must and the beverage program has featured expertly crafted drinks, highlighting a range of botanicals, including green tomato, yuzu, and sesame.
