Kiln Sydney

restaurantrooftop

Kiln is a special restaurant high up in a building on Sydney's Avenue Kléber. As soon as you come in, you'll be amazed by the stunning city views. You can see famous places like the Opera House and Harbour Bridge from here.

The feeling at Kiln is lively and cool, attracting both young professionals and trendy people. The place looks smart with a nice wooden bar in the middle. This bar offers a variety of handcrafted drinks and beers.

As the evening moves on, the music gets better, making the place even more vibrant. The music includes electronic and house tunes that match the restaurant's atmosphere. Kiln has a menu filled with Asian fusion dishes meant for sharing. These dishes are inspired by Southeast Asia's street food but are fancier.

Kiln is great for hanging out with friends or making a date feel special. It stands out because of its great location, lively vibe, tasty food, and drinks. If you're looking for a memorable night out in Sydney, Kiln is the place to go.

Kiln Sydney Reviews

Words just do not do this venue justice. They were rightfully awarded the best new restaurant for 2022. The recognition goes to every staff member, the Chef and overall philosophy of what it is trying to deliver the Sydney dinning scene. I went there to celebrate my nephews birthday and walked away with two very happy kids who had enjoyed everything that this venue had to offer. The excitement of using the back door with the neon sign entrance, Simone at the foyer to greet us, every staff members making our experience special and then to top it off saying hi to the Chef. Beyond exceptional. And then there is the food. Every dish well prepared with live, excellence and punches a flavour above expectations. The select menu really delivers and everything was exceptional. The wine list perfect and the view to die for. We shall be back!

Ambiance: 9.8/10 Service: 9.6/10 Food: 9.4/10 Delightful experience dining here. We ordered the rum cooler and smokin' samurai cocktails and some oysters to start - the finger lime was a nice touch. To start, the Grilled octopus skewers with xo sauce were nice and savoury, strong punchy flavours all round. The stracciatella was amazingly light and creamy - and with the bread and Koji butter, it made for a memorable dish. The tuna tartare with Nori crisp reminisces of several Asian / Hawaiian cultural influences, like a funky korean-ish poke on a Japanese kombini-mart seaweed crisp - I like how it treaded the line with casual fine dining and creative fusion. The roasted eggplant and coral trout with pistachio sauce was a tad weird. I wouldn't say they were particularly bad, but perhaps the flavours were a bit dull compared to the other dishes of the night. I felt like the citrus didn't go with the pistachio, or maybe the pistachio just didn't go with the fish. These two dishes sort of felt a bit 'Work in Progress', which I don't mind, personally. It's an art, after all. Ultimately an amazing night. We left no room for dessert, opting to try the alfonsino crudo in tomato jelly instead - great idea, the highlight dish of the night. The tomato jelly reminisces of the congealed fat you would find in tinned fish. The peach.. I suspect there's some sort of childhood story behind this one, but it's tartness was a welcome addition to the richness of the fish (especially since we were skipping dessert!) and beautifully presented too. We spent just under $300 for 2 people. Highly recommended!
